Reflexology
Reflexology is a Complementary Therapy that works on the feet or hands enabling the body to heal itself. Following illness, stress, injury or disease, it is in a state of "imbalance", and vital energy pathways are blocked, preventing the body from functioning effectively. Reflexology can be used to restore and maintain the body's natural equilibrium and encourage healing. By working the reflexes on the feet, an involuntary response is elicited in organs and glands connected by energy pathways to these specific reflexes. This sets a chain reaction in motion, which causes physiological changes to occur throughout the body systems.

A Reflexologist uses hands only to apply pressure to the feet. For each person the application and the effect of the therapy is unique. Sensitive, trained hands can detect tiny deposits and imbalances in the feet, and by working on these points the Reflexologist can release blockages and restore the free flow of energy to the whole body. Tensions are eased, and circulation and elimination is improved. This gentle therapy encourages the body to heal itself, often counteracting a lifetime of misuse.

What Conditions Can it Help?
Since Reflexology treats the whole person, not just the symptoms of disease, most people benefit from treatment. Typically, the treatment can be used to relieve stress, improve energy levels, rebalance and harmonise the body, calm the nervous system, encourage healing and relaxation, and speed recovery from illness and injury. It helps to promote better sleep and provide relief from a wide range of conditions including headaches, digestive disorders, chronic fatigue, aches and pains, hormonal imbalances, sub-fertility problems, pregnancy, and all stress-related problems. It is a wonderfully relaxing experience, so even if you have nothing ‘wrong’ with you, you can still enjoy the benefits of a Reflexology treatment.
